If it doesn't turn you on...

I guarantee this will happen to you.

You have 30+ years of experience and a treasure trove of of knowledge and experience.

You have a thriving consulting practice.

Your morning routine gives you the time and space to be creative.

You have no trouble writing an interesting 1000 word article every morning.

Most of your new business comes from people reading your content on LinkedIn, Facebook or Substack.

Ideas flow to you like Niagara Falls.

The more you write, the more ideas flow to you.

The more you write, the more clients you attract.

Until...

...The dreaded blank screen.

Ideas stop flowing.

You try everything to rejuvenate the flow but the well has dried up.

For 15 years I was known as America's Leading LinkedIn Coach.

I wrote over 5000 emails and articles about LinkedIn marketing.

I wrote three best-selling editions of Ultimate Guide to LinkedIn for Business for Entrepreneur Press.

I spoke at conferences around the world.

In January, the ideas stopped flowing.

I fell victim to creator's burnout.

I lost my passion for LinkedIn marketing even though most of my business comes from LinkedIn.

I stopped writing my daily emails.

I stopped keeping up with new LinkedIn features and trends.

My friend Brian G. Johnson, a YouTube expert, said in a video "If it doesn't turn you on, maybe it's time to move on."

Boy was he right.

Why did I lose interest in being one of the leading LinkedIn experts?

Niche saturation.

The number of LinkedIn "experts" exploded since 2020.

It's hard to compete against people 30 years younger than you who are teaching the strategies you invented a decade ago.

Also, if you do something long enough, it's human nature to get bored and lose interest.

I'm suffering from creator burnout when it comes to LinkedIn.

I still know more about LinkedIn than most but my interests have shifted.

My passions and interests have changed.

I'm never going to "retire".

I love learning and exploring new paths.

I love helping people.

I'm putting together a group of inspired people who are exploring "what's next" after their careers come to an end.

Would you like to join me on this journey?

My friend Ed Dale, sent this to me. Type this into ChatGPT:"From all our interactions, what is one thing you can tell me about myself that I wouldn't know"Here's what I learned about myself. One thing that stands out from our interactions is how deeply you embody the concept of "purpose-driven reinvention". You aren't just focused on building businesses or writing books for the sake of profit—you’re driven by the desire to help others transition through major life changes, just as you’ve done...

The silent struggle

According to a survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 74% of careers end abruptly. This is due to layoffs, mergers, budget cuts and ageism. This happened to me three times in 20 years. I was doing a good job and BAM. My boss told me "I'm sorry but we have to let you go." My first emotion was shock. After a few days, anger and frustration set in. Then the anxiety tied my stomach in knots when I realized it's hard to find a job when you're over 55. Being a guy, of course I didn't ask for...
